Construction Continues

Construction Update

Construction project is progressing well at the bowl.  The foundation walls to the training room addition are poured and ready for backfilling.  Power to the scoreboard/video board should be restored today or tomorrow.  Roof trusses are being installed on the storage building this morning.

This week’s events are soccer related.  The Upper SW and East ticket booths will be available for the Bismarck Public School events.  The Upper SW ticket booth will be available for the St. Mary’s and BSC events.  No patron admission will be allowed at the lower SW gate.  The city lot on the south side of Edwards Avenue can be used for “Event Parking”.  The lower SW Parking lot can only be used for parking by officials, game management, buses, coaches and bowl staff.  No athlete parking is permitted in this parking lot.  Locker rooms will be available for athlete use prior to events this week.  Only the west doors of the locker room can be used.  The north bleachers are closed this week due to construction and the lack of restrooms on the north side.  Please inform your booster groups and athletes.  Hopefully appropriate signage will be ready for posting in all necessary areas by tomorrow.

This past week scrimmages went quite well.  Patrons attending the events were advised the No Outside Food & Beverages cannot be brought into the facility.  Folks were very understanding,  we need to continue the communication.  I will be visiting with the Bismarck Tribune giving them a weekly update of activities and gates that will be used for specific events.

Due to construction activities at the Community Bowl, weekly event information will be provided for those attending activities at the Community Bowl.

Friends of the Bowl Campaign Kicks Off

The Protect Our Turf Committee is excited to announced the “Friends of the Bowl” campaign. This is an extension of the fundraising efforts. Committee members first secured corporate sponsorships and are now accepting smaller community donations. There has been a tremendous amount of support for this effort and the “Friends of the Bowl” campaign allows all Bismarck-Mandan residents, and those beyond, to show their support through a financial contribution.

Contributions $100 or more will allow you to choose a limited edition Protect Our Turf embroidered polo or a Protect Our Turf stadium seat and blanket. Donations of $1,000 or more will get your name on the “Friends Wall,” which will grace the main entrance to the stadium.

Donations will soon be accepted online through this website. In the meantime, click here to download a pledge form that may be mailed or delivered to the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce.
